Living in Okinawa is quite interesting. You can try a lot of different foods from this unique culture. There are many things to do in Okinawa. I enjoy living in this part of Japan because I really like my apartment, it’s clean and nice. I especially like the bathtub because you can take an ofuro. Ofuro means a bath in Japanese.
My friends always tell me that being a military child can be difficult and that moving every three years can be stressful, but that you get used to it over time. The toughest part about moving is losing all your dearest friends.
If you weren’t serving your country in Okinawa, I wouldn’t be here either. I wouldn’t be able to explore this beautiful island, or even be at my school, Amelia Earhart Intermediate School.
I would like to thank you for working in Okinawa. You are the reason why we are here. I have made new friends at our amazing school because of you. I am so glad that you decided to serve the military in Okinawa and make this island our home.
