Every April, we celebrate military children We celebrate their service for this country We thank them for their sacrifices Although they aren’t the ones on the frontlines They’re the ones hoping their parent comes home safely
Every few years, military children have to leave the friends they just made Saying goodbye to everyone they care about That’s the hardest part All the hugs and tears on their last day Because they have to follow their parent Wherever they serve our country
The dandelion represents us military children When they move somewhere new They set roots wherever the wind blows them It represents our perseverance No matter how hard something is It represents rebirth of growth Because everytime we move, we get to grow as a person It represents endurance Tolerating how often we move And lastly, it represents hope Everytime we move, we hope it lasts longer than our last move
