A Brat’s Adventure In England

My dad’s been involved with the military since before I was born, automatically shoving me into being a brat without any further choice. When I was born my dad was deployed in I believe Iraq and since my mom was high risk and didn’t have any other family where we lived in Nebraska, she had to fly nine months pregnant back to her hometown in Guam. When people ask me “where did you grow up?,“ I often give a little laugh before I answer, “a little bit of a lot of places,” while they flash a confused look. But it’s true, I did grow up in more than one place, but to save you the reader some time I’ll talk about my experience living in RAF Croughton, England. I moved to England in 2013 just shy of my fifth birthday, since my birthday is in September I would be starting school then. My dad and mom didn’t want us to miss the opportunity of going to a British Primary school so there I was at my first out of two schools I’d be going to in England. This school was George Grenville Academy in Buckinghamshire and it was a very joyous experience for me to go here. We had cute uniforms consisting of purple, black, grey, and white hues, and very kind teachers. I did poetry contests and nativity plays, that was until I was told I’d be moving homes and going to another school. This school would be Croughton All Saints CofE Primary School. I’d be spending the rest of my 4 years there. I had gone to purple along with other colors to wear if red uniforms. I absolutely loved going there as it was a joyous time every day, and until this day I would give anything to go back to experience it one last time or to recouperait with long missed friends.
