1 The instructor said,

2 Go home and write

3 a page tonight.

4 And let that page come out of you-

5 Then, it will be true.

6 I wonder if it's simple.

7 A military child, a sixteen-year-old, and a five-person family

8 Moving from one state to another or even out of the country

9 To places like Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey-

10 Kansas, South Korea, and finally California

11 Everywhere I go, I learn to love and cherish the experiences-

12 I have with my friends before it's time

13 to say goodbye.

14 The life of a military child is full of ups and downs, -

15 But I always managed to keep a positive attitude.

16 I wonder what life is like for an ordinary child.

17 to stay close to friends and family.

18 To not travel to far from home

19 I guess I have to realize the opportunities I was blessed with-

20 to travel the whole world.

21 To be Young, Gifted and Black right

22 I have the chance to make friends everywhere-

23 I go, try different foods-

24 see different cultures

25 But is it worth leaving my friends -

26 or the memories I create?
