The point of view from a kid in the military

My dad is a part of the United States Marine Corps. We have moved around 4 times since I was born and we are about to retire. I was born in Fort Worth, Texas. After Texas, we got stationed in Okinawa Japan. I lived there for 3 years from 2011 to 2014. In Okinawa I did not go to any school, I only went to daycare while my mom worked. My younger sister was born there also. After our 3 years in Japan we moved to Havelock, North Carolina. I lived there for 3 and a half years from 2014 to 2018. I started my first two schools there. I was there from Kindergarten to third, however, I wasn't able to finish my third grade year because I moved before the school year ended. In North Carolina my youngest sister was born too. After North Carolina, my dad got the opportunity to be a part of the Blue Angels. He applied for the job to work with the Fat Albert crew that consists of only Marines. He was accepted and we moved to Pensacola, Florida. I lived in Florida for 4 years from 2018 to 2022. I started 4th grade and also started my third school. I was there from 4th grade to 7th grade. I had Also started my 4th school there with middle school. In the 5th grade, is also when the pandemic hit. While the pandemic was happening, I had picked up the violin right before we couldn't go to school anymore. I spent most of my time practicing the violin and picking more instruments. I am now able to decently play more than 10 instruments. I had to take online classes for the rest of my 5th grade year. After Florida, my dad got promoted and we ended up moving back to Japan. We now live in Iwakuni, Japan. I will be living here for 2 and a half years from 2022 towards the end of 2024. I started my 5th school here starting the 8th grade. I will be here from 8th grade to 9th grade. I will be starting my 6th school my high school year. This is my dad’s retirement year and we will be moving back to Florida, it will be my 7th different school. I met a lot of great families and friends over those years and I am still friends with to this day. The military pulls you away from friends, but at the same time, they give you amazing friendships that last forever.
