Month of the military child

One Pager for the Month of the Military Child.

For as long as I can remember I have been a military child. I never really knew what it meant to be a military child until maybe the 6th grade. I didn’t really have kids in my school who had a parent in the military. I usually stayed in Virginia. I only moved once, and that was to Japan. My dad joined the military when he was 19. He’s been in the military for about 13 years. Sadly my dad is the only member of my family in the military. I have met about 30-60 military families. One thing I dislike about being a military child is constantly moving. My family and I get comfortable in one place, but then it’s only for a little while, then all over again we have to pack up and leave.

The good thing about being a military child is: I can travel the world, meet new people, learn new cultures, and even pick new languages. It’s neat, military children do a bunch of stuff that “Normal” Kids don’t.
