Kadena High School
Being a military child comes with its challenges, however this is what helps mold ourselves. Moving multiple times throughout my childhood has made it difficult for me to keep long lasting friendships and has put a lot of stress on me when joining new schools as a stranger. However, it also advanced my social skills and allowed me to meet all different kinds of people. It has prepared me for future travels and can come in handy for any new setting I find myself in like college or even new jobs. I have had to move through not only the United States, but other countries too. This forced me to adapt to new climates, environments, and cultures due to my life as a military child, but each obstacle is a new experience and learning opportunity. My knowledge about people and the world overall has vastly expanded as a result of the challenges and opportunities given to me as a child of a traveling family. Although it comes with its hardships, and it may not be ideal for everyone, I am grateful to be a military child and for everything that goes along with it.
