Are you a military child? I know I am! Hello my name is Elizabeth and I am a military child and my mom is in the military. I'm here to tell you the bad and good things about being a military child.

I don't like when my mom gets deployed because she will be gone for a long time and I will miss her. For example, my mom missed my birthday for a year! Another downside to being a military student is that you may miss food places that you love. For example, when I moved to Maryland there was a really good Pizza place with really good fries, cheese, and bacon. Then, I moved to Virginia where that same restaurant does not exist. Often, military people will fall in love with the area they move to and then in a few years will move to another place.When I moved to Maryland I loved it there because the beach was right behind the trees. I had to leave after 3 years.

The good thing about being a military child is that you will learn different cultures and different languages. You get to meet new people who speak different languages. I just moved to japan and I learned the culture and the language and i’ve been meeting a lot of japanese people ever since i’ve moved here.You get to try different weird foods for example, I tried to eat dango and takoyaki and loved it.The dango taste like rice and the takoyaki tasted good but i don't like the red bean flavor. I like the chocolate one better.You also get to do different fun activities like going to the Setsubun festival. My family and I went to the lantern festival.
