Kinser Elementary School
Living life as a military child is fun but hard. It’s fun because I like going new places and meeting new people. If I wasn't a military child I wouldn't be here at Kinser Elementary School in Okinawa, Japan. I like where I live right now because the island is beautiful. I love the cherry blossoms, the beach, paths to walk on and Blue Seal Ice Cream. So far, I have traveled to Paris and Germany and they were beautiful, just like Okinaw a.
Being a military child is hard because I have to leave my friends. I am very sad that I don’t get to see my aunts, uncles, and grandparents very much. Sometimes my dad has to leave for work, but I know that my dad will come back. I don’t think it is fair that we don’t get to choose where we want to move. For example, I never wanted to go to Kansas because there are a lot of tornadoes and the flight is so long. I don’t like the rainy season in Okinawa, because I can't play outside with my friends. I cannot have a pet because I travel too much. If I could get a pet it would be a kitten or a bunny.
Overall, I’m glad that my dad is in the military because of the awesome places I have visited.
