I am from Evergreen Forests,

From Hooptown USA and blooming Rhododendrons,

I am from the ocean under the clear blue sky.

Clean,fresh, It smelled like salt.

I am from the abundant,

The Green Darner Dragonfly

Whose crystal clear wings I remember

As if they were my own.

I’m from the suciasaurus and fossils,

From shy deer and fragrant cedars.

I’m from the “I love you !” and the

“Did you do your homework?”,

From cheeseburgers and pizza.

I’m from virtual reality

With a PS4

And ten levels I can reach myself.

I’m from Xbox 360 and Nintendo switch,

From gaming all night and all day.

From the friends lost,

To the journey across the sea and the video games

Used to keep me joyful.

Under my bed was a purple box

Spilling great memories of the past,

a sliver of happiness

To drift beneath my dreams.

I am from those moments-

Ecstatic before I PCS’d -

I am a dandelion attached to the family tree.
