Best 1. The NEX: The NEX provides all military kids with food and drinks, for a price. The NEX is also more convenient than a normal store and almost always has what you want. 2. Sightseeing: When you’re a military kid, you’re able to go places normal kids don’t. 3. The Ships: Usually your Navy parent works on a ship, and it’s cool to see how it works. 4. The Base: A U.S. Navy base has many conveniences near each other that off-base doesn’t, like McDonald’s and the movie theater. 5. The Teen Center: The Teen Center has everything a teen could want: food, games, video games, WiFi, and clubs!
Worst 1. Having To Move All the Time: Jobs in the military change, so people have to move, and so do kids! You might have just made a good friend and then have to move. 2. The New House: Once you move to a new house, there’s nothing there! 3. The Underways: As a Navy child, your parent is always going underway for hours to months. 4. ID’s: If you’re a military child and lose your ID, there’s a big problem—grounded, no identification, and no fun! 5. Getting Stuck Off Base: If you lose your ID off base, you can’t get back in, which is a pain.
