Yokosuka Middle School
As a military child, you are faced with lots of challenges. One of the hardest challenges is moving. Every time you move, your life is packed up into cardboard boxes. It’s always really hard to say goodbye to your friends. It is also hard to adapt to new environments. You have to go to new schools, live in new places, and make new friends. As a military child, I move every 2-3 years, so I am used to moving. However, that does not make it any easier. It is still hard to adapt to a new environment. Moving is not all bad, though. You get to live in places that many other kids couldn’t. You also make lots of friends around the world. Cardboard boxes can be a symbol of both endings and new beginnings.
