Dear Diary, It’s been two days since my dad left for a work trip, and I already miss him. I know these trips are important, but it’s just so hard when he leaves! When Dad’s away, even my schedule changes! My mom and I have to wait around for two hours for my sisters to finish practice, since my dad usually waits for them. Waiting these extra two hours makes me feel rushed to finish my homework and my daily chores. Another change when he’s away is that I have to help out more, since my mom can’t do everything by herself. One of the worst parts of him being away is doing his chores, like the trash! I don’t enjoy doing the trash because it’s just not fun. Talking to him is difficult when he’s away because he can’t always call when he’s working. Again, I know that these trips are important, but I don’t like it when he leaves.
