After moving from my home in Virginia Beach, I flew over to Italy for three years. My family regards that tour as the best one we ever had. The food was very good at the cost of being away from family and friends. Despite being apart from family, my family made lifelong friends that we are still in touch with to this day. We also went to multiple countries, including Morocco. After long goodbyes, my family moved to Arlington, Virginia. In my opinion, that was not my favorite tour because of the weather, but DC had a lot of interesting sights including the Pentagon, Air Force Memorial, Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial. All of these provided me education and knowledge, as well, for my future journey as a military child. As my family flew away from Arlington, we headed to San Diego, which I regard as my favorite tour. We got to go to the beach a lot in the summer and had a good time. I enjoyed it a lot and made new friends. After two very short years (of fun), my family was stationed in Japan, and living overseas has given me the opportunity to visit countries in continental Asia, such as Korea. Throughout this great journey as a military child, I have learned new things, expanded my view of the world, and have had a lot of amazing opportunities.
