The best thing about being military connected is the trips to exotic places you can take. The Friday before my birthday, my parents surprised me by telling me we were taking a trip to Universal Studios Japan. I was very excited because I’ve been wanting to go there since forever. The next day, we packed and started to hit the road. My parents also rented a Stepwagon that was huge and had seat warmers. Since the drive was 6 HOURS, I decided to watch a few movies and take a nap. We also stopped by some restops and ate some musubis that my mom packed for the trip. Finally, we were at the hotel. It was a minions themed hotel called Universal Port Hotel. We were very tired, so we went to our room and went to sleep. The next morning, we went to Universal Studios park, which was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel. When we got there were a lot of rides that we could do, but we decided to go to Minions world first. Then we went to a ride called space adventures. After waiting in line, I realized it was a roller coaster. I screamed like a girl the whole ride, but it was very fun. After we rode a couple more rides, we went to Super Mario World, a new part of the park that came out recently. We got a wristband and explored the park and rode more rides, including the Mario Kart Ride. After we left, we didn’t have much time until it was dark, so we went to Harry Potter World. We got our interactive wands and did spells across the park. After that it was dark, so we went to eat dinner at a sushi restaurant called, Sushiro. Bellies full, we went back to back to the hotel. Exhausted, we slept with good dreams. The next day we started our journey back home, but my mom felt sick so we had to abandon all the things we had planned. When we got home, we took Covid tests and me and my mom were Positive! The next week and a half we were stuck in our rooms with nothing to do. But we eventually got better and when I got back to school, I had a bunch of homework.
