“We have to stay here overnight! Where will I sleep!” I was so mad that we were at the airport at 11:00 p.m. and we had to stay here until the ticket stand opened. I couldn't wait to go to Japan but it was not worth this torture. I tried to get comfortable, but I couldn't get comfortable enough to fall asleep. We had to wait what felt like days before the ticket stand finally opened but we had to go through the line, which was not short. I tried to sit on the suitcases but that didn't work. Once we finally got through the line, I was so tired I could have slept the whole next year. I got in a chair and slept for I don't know how long and woke up just in time to see the staff take our pets away. Our cat had its legs on the window of the carrier and gave us a look of betrayal. We still had to wait a while, but I was a lot less sleepy now that I had a nap. I don't remember the rest of the time at the airport, but it was short. We got on the plane and I found out it was a 13 HOUR plane ride. Luckily, they had chargers so I played my tablet the whole way there. When we landed, we had to go into a room to wait for our pets and watch a video about being in Japan. Once we got our pets we went straight to our house and didn't go to TLF. It was really nice being able to immediately move in and not have to wait a few weeks. I already missed my friends and the weather. I loved the weather in California because I could go outside everyday but in Japan it was cold. We still had to wait a couple of weeks for our stuff to arrive, but they put furniture for us to use while we waited. My sleep was off the first couple of days, but it got better quickly. Not too long after I started school our furniture arrived. I made some new friends and settled in quickly. After I settled in things went back to normal.
