There once was a military kid,

His mom’s name was Sid;

Together they were very strong.

They even wrote their own song.

It went like this:

Fly baby fly;

Until you touch the sky

But when you do

I will miss you

Soar baby Soar

‘Till you can’t see the floor

But when you do

I will miss you

So as the mom said in the song

The kid flew and soared

But as he did they were still very strong

And with his mom he never got bored

But secretly, the one he looked up to

Was his mom who would love him till he would be 100 and 2.

Then one day they got the call

“It’s for you mom.” and it said it all

Their hearts were pounding

And tears were dripping

Moving day was in June

“It’s OK mom, we will persevere through”

His mom looked down at him

And smiled as the sun began to dim

“Kid; you are the most resilient, brave, kind, courageous kid I know.”

“ And mom, you are one of the best leaders to ever grow.”
