Life As A Military Child

When I move to different places, the first thing I do is look for some friends. I spend a lot of time with them. When I got to my last school, I saw some friends, but I stayed quiet. They just stared at me at first, but then some of them asked to play with me. When I got to my new school, I noticed that they had a class that teaches you Japanese. I have lived in Texas, Florida and Japan. My favorite place to live in was Texas, because my family lives there. handle it? When my Mom has to work for a long time, the hardest thing that I have to do is sleep at my friend, Lyric’s house. When we first moved, I got some help setting up my room. I wanted to choose my own room when we move, but I’m always stuck with getting the small kids’ room. If I could choose any where I wanted to live, I would like to live in Texas or Florida . I have two pet fish. One is Goldie. The other is Scalie.

My Mom is a Sailor in the United States Navy. She is a culinary specialist. She likes to cook, and her job is to cook for the Commanding Officer. She was born in California. My Mom likes to go to the gym and shop on Amazon. She likes to try new foods. She was born and raised in Dallas Texas. She likes to cook; she likes to make chicken and seafood boil. Her favorite book back in the day was The Coldest Winter. She likes to sleep during her days off. When she has to travel for work, the only thing she ever misses are her family and not going to family reunions.

She likes to watch movies, make adventures, and participating in sports. Her friends support me mentally if she needs to vent, if she needs advice, or if she needs helps, because she’s a single mom. She likes her my time with her kids, and they support and help her when they can. She did not make many friends when she came to Japan.

Some of our family traditions include Sunday dinners and family vacations. Our family also does game nights and countdown to Christmas. We take vacations for birthdays instead of birthday parties.

It’s very hard packing a house with 3 kids. When we get ready to pack out, we make a saving plan, and find a place to stay at least 6 months out from the move date. Moving is always a struggle. They wanted to change my orders to remain in the states, but living in Japan was an opportunity that she didn't want to pass up.

My Mom says that she likes the pay benefits. It is hard making new friends, packing up the life you and your family had, always calling some were a new home while always having to say goodbye to family and friends.

Most interesting thing she’s seen was 2 Destroyer Class ships race at full speed in the widest part of the ocean with the wind hitting us so hard! They were told not to walk on the flight deck while the race took place. She likes being able to provide for her family and experience the world with her kids.
