My Dad’s name is Cody. He is 32 years old and lives in Sasebo, Japan. Growing up, my Dad had his parents, 1 sister and 1 brother and himself. He has 4 kids: 2 girls and 2 boys. My Dad’s hobbies are playing video games, playing hockey and spending time with family. Some of my Dad’s favorites are pizza, ice cream, Coca Cola and Red Bull. His favorite sports team is the Chicago Blackhawks. When my Dad is off work, he enjoys playing his video games and spending time with us.
The Military Life My Dad is a Mechanic. My Dad enjoys his job, because he can see different places. He says that it can be hard at times leaving friends that have become family. It takes time to settle into a new place. My Dad says that it may not be the most interesting thing about being in the Navy, but he gets to see a lot of new things and places.
Our Family What my Dad doesn’t like the most is having to leave all the time. He says that what he likes most about raising us is watching us become amazing human beings. Our family traditions include having a movie night once a month, and we celebrate Christmas.
Military Friends It is very hard saying goodbye to our friends and family. When my Dad is with his friends, they have dinner together mostly. His friends were very excited and happy for us when he told them that we were moving, but at the same time, they were sad. His friends help with anything that we need and are always there for us. My Dad says that it takes a while to find good friends. Sometimes longer than others.
