Moving Ecstatically Everything is New to you When you Move

Hello, my name is Sol Miller-Noriega. I have been a military child since birth. I am now 11 years old. My favorite part of moving, other than new food because I could write a novel about food is flying to a new place. Almost every move takes days to arrive, when we finally arrive I am ecstatic.

One of the first things I’m thrilled for is my new neighbors and learning their personalities. For example, one of my old neighbors named Jimmy would tell me some of the best dad jokes. My neighbors usually start to feel like family.

The next exciting part about moving is exploring the new cities and surrounding countries. When we lived in Spain, I thought it was so unreal living in a different continent. I got to hear many new languages. This is very beneficial to me because I might become a linguist in the future. Now we live on the continent of Asia. I am hearing even more languages I have never heard before.

Most of the moving process os fun, but that does not mean it is perfect. I miss my old neighbors and local languages. The feeling of being intrigued overpowers my sad feeling when it comes time to move. It is hard to say goodbye, but exciting to say a new hello.
