Being a military child seems cool, but it can be difficult at times. For one thing, you have to move around a lot because your parent/guardian has to serve a different part of the world. It can be depressing or sad because you must leave your friends behind. For another thing, you have to PCS to another school with new people and teachers that can be difficult to adjust to right away. Now, there can be pros to being a military child too. You can attend a special group of military children in your school. ( in some schools ) There will be people in the group going through the same pain and suffering you’ve been through yourself. You can talk to them and make new friends that you can relate to at your new school. I don’t know if you ever thought about this, but your parents have it worse than you. Your parents have to apply to your new schools, they have to work in the military at a completely different place with new people that they might not get along with, ( this can also be you at school, but if you compare the military with schools, schools don’t even come close ) they can have new schedules that are hard to adjust to. So next time you think you can’t handle your life anymore, think about the pain your parents are going through, go and reassure them, help them with anything you can. You can do it!
