2024/Leah -

April, the Month of the Military Child,

Being it, it’s okay, it’s mild.

Usually, every 2 years,

I have to leave my place, starting again my being alone fears.

Leaving my friends, my home,

Usually, nothing can make my family go back, not even Google Chrome.

All my other friends, even the Military ones,

Stay in their country for like 1,000 years, enduring all the fun.

We celebrated April with clothing, the Month of the Military Child,

“How are we celebrating about Military kids?” I asked and my teacher just smiled.

So the one day, when we came to Korea,

Went through a school I first thought, Nah.

Discovered the school filled with people I can relate too,

About living a life through a Military Child view!

So, now, writing this poem,

I realize that, (ahem.)

I love being a Military Child, it’s great, not mild,

April, the Month of the Military Child.
