My name is Lily. I’m going to tell you what it means to me to be a military child. I feel sad because my dad goes on the ship. The ship takes my dad away for a long time. I also feel happy because when my dad is not here, I can snuggle every Friday with my mom. I feel scared because when my dad goes away, I sometimes get nightmares. At times, I feel upset because my dad is gone. Overall, I feel proud of my dad for being on the Robert Smalls.
