Being a Military Connected Child

I don’t know how it feels like being a military child because I am a civilian, but I am a military connected child.

I had a lot of friends at my first home, but then I had to move.

Second of all, I get to go to so many places. Like Japan, and Hawaii, but sometimes it just feels like you don’t belong. For example, I might have moved to Japan, and a lot of Japanese people stare at me and I can sometimes not be comfortable when they look at me and whisper to their friends about me.

Third of all, when I move a lot, it feels like I don’t really have a real home because I only live in one place for about three to five years.

Being a military child is also not that bad though. I get to have great experiences and learn another country’s culture, try new foods and language. I also get to make new friends here and there. I also get to go to fun festivals, and have awesome experiences. For example, I get to go to the Sakura Festival and learn the Japanese language. I also get to try delicious food, such as sushi and ramen. Being in the Military Community is great, and I’m so glad to be one.
