Being A Military Child

Being a military child is challenging. First, you have to move across the world, leave home, leave friends, and leave family. Some people think it's fun, but it is really hard sometimes.

I do like trying new things, new foods, new dances, and seeing how different cultures live and do things. Seeing different cultures and trying different foods is pretty cool. One food I have tried is tempura shrimp. I really love it.

Sometimes a parent will go on TDY or they will get deployed. Having a parent leave for a TDY or deployment is hard, because you don't know what is going to happen to them and you feel scared, alone, and terrified of what could happen when they are away. They may never, ever come back and then you won't have your mom or dad and you'll be all alone in an orphanage with terrifyingly creepy dolls. Some people may think, “YAY! I can do whatever I want!” I would not think that though.

In conclusion, being a military child has its pros and cons. Although sometimes being a military child can be fun.
