Being a military child is great. I can go to many places, learn different languages, try different food, go to new schools, make new friends, and do different types of sports.

I like the life of a military child a lot, but sometimes my dad gets deployed for a long time. My friend Corben’s dad gets deployed every nine months for nine months which is really hard to deal with because imagine having a family member gone for most of your life.

There is another thing that is hard to do and that is moving. Well, it’s fun but when you get there it’s empty. It takes about three months to get half your stuff and then another three months to get all your stuff. The worst time for PCS is in the middle of the year!!!!!!!

I normally go to my cousin's house because I think it is really fun, before I move to the new place.

So in the end, being a military child isn’t bad, but is not great. Well, moving to a new place is fun, but having someone you love deployed is hurtful. If I had to pick one it is being a military child because it is fun.
