Dear Reader,

Being a Military child is great, but it can also suck. Being a military child is great because you get to go places that other people might not be able to go like Japan, England, Germany, and many other places. You also get to learn the culture of where you live whether you’re living in Asia, Europe, Australia, or Africa, it doesn't matter where you live you still get to learn the culture and traditions of the place. Being a military child means you move a lot which sucks because then you have to start fresh at a new school or place, then you’re become the new kid and everyone is staring at you because you’re just standing around instead of doing what the class usually did before you had transferred there. It also sucks because one of your active-duty parent or parents have to go on deployment which either leaves staying at a friend’s house for a long period of time or you’re with one parent for however long your other parent is gone for. Being a military child means you get more opportunities that other people don’t get. Being a military child is something really special. I lived in California until I was 6 years old, Then I moved to Oahu, Hawaii, then I moved here, to Okinawa, Japan. I never knew I was a military child until I moved to Hawaii, were we celebrated Month of the Military Child, in April.
