My Life in Okinawa as a Military Child

My life as a military child feels normal. I think that my life as a military child is normal because it feels like my life in Hawaii. The only benefit of being a military child that I know is being able to come to Kadena Elementary School and being able to have an education. There are only some things that are different that have happened to me because I have only been in Okinawa for a little less than 2 years. One thing that is different is that there are camps, and on base and off base. Being a military child is good because there are different kinds of food I have never seen before and they taste great.

Okinawa also has beaches I have never seen before. Sometimes I see a rock bridge going into the ocean and just ending and sometimes there is a line of water in the middle of it. I kind of like Okinawa more than Hawaii because of where I live. In Hawaii I live in a neighborhood near a basketball, baseball, and tennis court. But in Okinawa I live near a beach, basketball court, park, vending machines, and a big grass field next to the park where I could play soccer.
