I am 11 years old. I have been a Military Child since day 1. There are only two things I would change about being a Military child. One is how we are forced to move and how sometimes our parents have to go on deployment. It’s hard to move from time to time and place to place. Back in Iwakuni I stayed there for 7 years before I moved here to Okinawa. It took a while to adjust but I did. But in my opinion, being a Military Child can get me a better education. Here at school, they teach us six main subjects. ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, writing and Health. Here on base the food is delicious! My favorite fast-food restaurant is Burger King. One of the main reasons I love being a Military Child is because on base people make many activities for both parents and children to enjoy and have fun in. As a Military Child I learned that my parents serve the country and that's why I am here. But as a Military Kid I learned I can also serve my country too!
