It can be hard to be a military child. My first reason is because you move a lot. One time I moved from Florida to Okinawa on a plane for more than 15 hours! It’s also hard to leave your best friends. One time, I had to leave my best friend in Florida to move to Okinawa. It was hard because I had to say goodbye to someone I knew and had so much fun with, and it’s kind of hard to leave friends.

But, it can also be fun being a military child. You get to experience different cultures like Japanese and more! You can also make new friends like one time I had to move to Japan and I made a bff in school! Another reason why it’s fun is that you get to move to new places and experience the whole world and see places that other people don’t get to see for their entire lives. You can also eat new foods like Japanese foods, such as sushi, which I love. If I had never moved to Okinawa, I would never have tried “hambagu” steak sushi!

That is why being a military can be challenging, but also a lot of fun!
