Imagine packing up all of your things, and waving bye to your family to move half way around the world! Being a military child can be fun, but it's also a bit hard. Sometimes it can be a bit hard being a military child. You have to leave people behind. For example, when I moved to Japan, I left my family behind in America so I could move to Okinawa. You might feel sad when you leave your family behind. I felt bad because I couldn't get in touch with my family easily. But you also get to meet new people, learn about yourself, and if people have a bad impression of you, you get to restart every time you move. For me, I met Kristoph when I first came to Japan. But it can also be fun being a military child. You feel better when you meet new people, you feel better, but a bit worse. You have to change the bad parts of yourself that make you who you are, to get more friends, but sometimes you don’t, because you think you could be great with just who you are, and it sometimes works! For example, I met my first freind in Okinawa because I was myself. A military child is unique, and that's what makes them special.
