Being a military child undoubtedly shaped me into who I am today. Had I remained at my school in the states with 2000+ kids, there is no way I would have ever considered running for student council. But the unified communities of similar kids (ones who move all the time) made me feel comfortable enough and motivated to take higher leadership positions, as I had never been surrounded by so many kids who’ve all gone through similar experiences I’ve gone through.
