Have you ever been to Colombia? I got to go there, and it was an adventure I'll never forget! My family is part of the military, so we travel a lot. This time, we were headed to Colombia to visit my grandparents, and I was jumping up and down with excitement.

First, we went to the airport. Going through baggage check was a bit boring, but thinking about seeing my grandparents made me super happy. Next, we boarded the airplane. It was kind of cool because there weren't many people on the plane. I looked out the window and imagined flying like a superhero. I just wish we could've gotten some snacks. Flying makes me hungry!

The only thing I don't like about flying is how my ears pop. It feels weird, but my mom gave me gum, and that helped a lot. But you know what? Even with my ears popping, I love traveling because I get to explore new places.

When we finally arrived in Colombia, I couldn't wait to get off the plane. As soon as I saw my grandparents, I ran as fast as I could into their arms. They gave me the biggest hugs. It was the best feeling ever!

During my visit, my grandparents showed me around. I tried arepas for the first time, and they were delicious! My grandparents told me stories about my family. My aunt showed me a box with pictures of my dad when he was my age.

Even though I'm a military child and we move a lot, I love getting to visit new places and learn about my family's history. Colombia is a part of me, and I can't wait to go back again!
