As a military child, I believe it is a very unique experience. Though there are many new opportunities, having to move around from place to place gets annoying. Every 3 years all of the friends I have made I must leave behind. This is not a pleasant experience because once I move I lose all of my friends and I must make new ones in a completely new environment. Sometimes this process can be a struggle. Most times making friends is easy but it pains me to know that I had to leave my previous friends. In contrast to the negative side of moving, I get many new opportunities because I live in a new place with many things that are new to me. Different cultures are also introduced to me as no state or country might have the exact same customs. Sometimes I enjoy these new customs and I can easily adjust. Though there are many pros and cons I truly do enjoy being a military child.
