2024/Andres-

Being a military child is not easy. it comes with a lot of challenges like moving once every couple of years, or even just being on a military base because some are really enclosed and tiny just like the one in Japan. Over here, we struggle with being social because it’s a small base. Most parents are really strict and don’t allow their children to go off the base until they are teenagers because you have to have an ID which you get at 13. Even then you have to be really responsible once you get an ID. You have to cherish it because if you lose it it is a hassle to get a new one and you won’t be able to go anywhere again unless it’s with your parents. Being a military child on a small base can also be very stressful. You never know who you can trust. You can tell one of your closest friends something and somehow the whole base seems to know. But in the end being a Military child is actually pretty cool because you get to travel the world. While there is a little bit of sacrifice when having to leave the old place that you lived, but who knows, sometimes it may be better than where I was before.
