Preston R...

As a military child, I love the many experiences I have had. For example, I am constantly meeting new friends, meeting different types of people, and going to different places. However, that comes at the sacrifice of my dad being deployed sometimes, which then leads to difficulties with parent communications. These struggles are tough because I need my dad as I am growing up. From losing my friends to losing my dad for a bit, it's sad. However, meeting new people increases my ability to socialize. Whenever I make new friends, I have developed the skills to come up to that person and start a conversation. These skills are useful in many ways and being a military child helps me use these skills.
