Life Of A Military Child By: Dominic Wolf Hi! My name is Dominic. Pronounced [Dom-in-ick]. Life as a military child is AMAZING! But, at the same time, there are some things that we all know are terrible downs too. Let’s cover my experience first though. At first, I didn't know that I was a military child. I didn’t even care! But when I had to leave the great Alabama, Montgomery, I knew I was something more than a normal kid. I asked my mom why we were leaving, and she said, “Because you’re a military child.” I was sad, but surprised! I went to the great Stuttgart, and went to Patch Elementary, made lots of friends, and then I had to move again. I then moved to Ramstein. I currently have lots of friends, like I did everywhere else, and I'm getting good grades! Now, on to the amazing pros and bad cons. There are WAY too many pros, and WAY too many cons, But, I can name just three of them each. One of the cons is that you have to leave your friends. One pro is that you make more friends than a non-military child. One con is that you leave all the amazing things where you were. One pro is that you can explore the outside of your great comfort zone. The last con is that you can’t set your future in stone if it’s in one area. One pro, you can find more things that you might like, like being an artist, or an astronaut, or even being an author! But one thing you have to know, that adds to the pros, everyone believes that you can. So, that’s my experience, and the pros and cons to being a military child! Now here’s what I have to say to you today. “Hey, you can do it [Your name here]”
