Ryukyu Middle School
As a military child, I have traveled a lot. I have been to many places for work and just for fun. Everywhere I go I make new friends. When I was in 4th grade we got the opportunity to move to Japan. I was a little upset because I had lived in Atlanta for most of my life. I had many friends there and most of my family. When we moved, we started in one of those quarantine houses. We explored the base and Okinawa. We tried tons of different foods and talked to many new people. On my first day of school, I was nervous about meeting new people. The counselor came to escort me to my classroom. Once I got in there, everyone was so welcoming and I immediately knew I was going to make new friends.
