Month Of The Military Child

Have you ever wondered why military kids are so special and strong? Well I’m a military child and this One of my experiences.

When I was 9, me, my mom, and my brother moved to New Hampshire from California. We had moved because my dad was on deployment and my mom wanted our family around to help with me and my brother. I was scared at first, because this would be the third school I would have been to. Once we lived there for a while, it felt like home because I had all my family around. Then we moved again. We were going to Okinawa, Japan.

At first, I didn't know how I felt about the move. I had already made friends and I had my family around for the first time in my life. Sure it was coo, ml. Moving to Japan. The only reason I was happy was because I would get to see my dad again. We had to go on 3 different planes. I have always loved flying but over 16 hours worth of flying is too much.

We landed at Kadena Aair Bbase on the flight line. We all had extremely bad jet lag. We were getting our bags and my brother started to cry. My mom started to run over to my dad and my brother followed. At first I didn’t know who it was but then I realized it was my dad. I didn’t have the energy to run or the energy to cry. I Walked over and hugged him and didn’t want to let go. That was the first time I had ever seen my dad tear up.

This is why military children are special. There are millions of military children all around the world who have had reunions like this one. This is just one experience from one person.
