Hello there! My name is A.F. and I wanted to share my personal experience of being a military child with you all. Trust me, it's not easy. Moving from one place to another every few years can be quite challenging, but I've learned to adapt and make the best of every situation. Currently, I've been living in Belgium for the past 5 years and it feels like home now. My dad's time here has been extended, so I'll be staying here for a while longer.

Among the many places I've visited, my favorite has to be paradise. But, my most cherished memories are from my home country, the Czech Republic. From the age of 3 to 8, I went to kindergarten and school until 3rd grade. But, then we had to move to Belgium, and that's where my journey as a military child began.

Here are ten things that military children like me experience:

1. Moving from place to place is a given. It's just part of our lifestyle.

2. Going to a new school can be a daunting experience. But, I've learned to be more open and welcoming to new people.

3. Making new friends is a constant challenge. But, it has helped me develop strong social skills and become more adaptable.

4. Visiting new locations and exploring popular places in the country is always exciting. It's like a new adventure every time!

5. Getting a new house is both exciting and overwhelming. But, making it feel like home is what we military children do best.

6. Missing your country before moving to a new one is normal. But, I've learned to embrace change and look forward to new experiences.

7. Keeping in touch with old friends is essential. Thanks to technology, we can stay connected even when we're miles apart.

8. Visiting your old country and reminiscing about the good old days is always a heart-warming experience.

9. It takes time to fit in, but we military children learn to adapt and make the best of every situation.

10. Lastly, being a military child has taught me to be resilient, adaptable, and open-minded. It's not always easy, but it's definitely worth it.
