Stripes Month of the Military Child Writing
Life as a military child, I wonder how normal life is. I've asked all of my friends in America, and they all said it was a boring life. Then what is my life? I've so far moved 7 times, and soon going on my eighth. My life is full of ups and downs and frankly, I'm all for it. I miss my friends, that is true, I create new friends, sometimes better and sometimes worse. And I always stay in touch, But I get to travel to so many places. I've never really liked traveling, especially with my brothers, but throughout the years, I realized the only permanent friends are my family. Every time I move, I hate the new place, but every time I leave, I love the last place. My last move was the hardest, I lived in Virginia, in a little town called Orange Hunt, and this place was truly my home. I was there for about 5 years of my life, and all of my friends are still there. I wished I could just stay there, but the truth is, they moved too. Most of my friends also were military children. And as soon as I moved, another moved, then another, and then all of them moved. Now if I ever move back I don't have someone to go back to, someone to reunite with. Overall being a military child is fun, but there are some downsides you just have to move, on.
