Military Life As a Kid

I’m not going to lie there are some things about being a military child that are not so fun. But there are also some good things. Yes, I know being a military child means you have to move around. But being a military child does come with its advantages. Like meeting new people. True you do leave some family and friends back, but you still get to stay in touch and the occasional summer trip back. At least for me, that’s the way it is. Going back to see family and friends is always such a joyful moment. But sometimes you get lucky and your other military friends get to move closer to you. My friends are only a short plane ride away so I still get to see them which makes me feel really happy. Seeing my sister over the phone makes me happy because then I know that my sister is okay being away from my family. Especially considering that she is overseas. Moving around also means making new friends in different countries. So then I can say,

“Hey, I have a friend that lives there! I also lived there before but we had to move. But I had a great time there!” Then you can start a conversation and make some more friends! But here is an important thing that I want to tell you.

Focus on the now and not on the future for if you look at the present you will see much more.

Don’t worry, don’t be afraid for if you look ahead you won't see today. There is always a plan for you and for me so don’t worry, don’t look ahead, you’ll see.
