Viața unui copil militar

When I first came to Belgium, I was sad, as every friend I had before was from my home country, Romania. So I had nobody, I didn’t know how Elementary school worked; back in my home country education was different, so I was lost… However, It took me a while before I found friends and started to like it here, years passed, and now I am in middle school with my friends, talking every time we can and are allowed to. But times weren't always sad. I got to see places I would’ve never gone to if I stayed back there. I tried new foods, met fantastic people and places, and had a good time. Sadly, I don’t know how much I would be staying here for… I have friends, some left sadly as they had stayed here for three years. Right now I am staying here one more year. I would like to go back to my home country and at the same time I want to stay here, but fate would decide that after my dad decides.. I had great fun in Belgium, talked to people I wouldn’t have met if I had not come here, and got to try different things in my home country did not exist, I like it here so much, I don’t want to go back, it's harder there and it's not as great. I like it more here as I can do a lot of things I couldn’t do back there, like visiting a lot of countries just by driving one hour. It took me two hours in my home country to get to the capital, but in one hour? You get to see a lot of countries and their beauty… life as a military child could be hard. Still, when you stay here for more than one month, you get to see everything your sadness had not, stop thinking about the past, think about the possibilities you could do as a military child, and never but never stay away from possible friends, you need friends as a military child.
