Life of a Polish Military Child

Growing up as a military child can be both scary and exciting. Leaving the familiarity of home can be scary, but being in a new school can bring a sense of adventure. My dad is a military member, and as a Polish military family, we have had to adapt to new surroundings several times. One time, my dad went to war, and we stayed home. When he returned, we moved again, this time to a new country where I had to learn a new language. After three years, we had to say goodbye to our friends and move again. It can be tough to leave behind the people you've grown close to, but I'm grateful for the skills and experiences I've gained from these moves. My parents make many sacrifices, but their dedication has given me opportunities to learn and grow in ways I wouldn't have otherwise.
