Have you ever asked yourself, what is a military child? It’s not just having a parent or friend in the military, it is much, much more. To be a military child you could be the kid of a hardcore military sergeant, to being the kid of a principal. I have been a military child for most of my life, but the thing is I don’t have a parent in the military. The truth is my dad is a principal, and that doesn’t seem close to anything in the military, but it’s closer than you think. I have friends whose parents are in the military, so anybody considers them a military child. The reason I am considered a military child is because I am connected to the military. To be a military child you have to stay strong knowing that every few years some friends will come and go. I don’t move that often but my friends move quite often because of having parents in the military. Even though you don’t have a parent in the military doesn’t mean that those kids that do have parents in the military will stay. So to finish I would like to say to be a military child, you don’t have to have parents in the military, you could have a parent as a principal or teacher. To be a military child it doesn’t take being in the military it takes the bravery and honour you need.
