Life as a Slovakian military child is not very enjoyable. But everything has its pros and cons. The constant moving, meeting new friends, later saying goodbye, trying to fit into a new school, and the longing after your home country. On the other hand, there is a sizable amount of positives. Exploring new countries, more yearly vacations, trying new foods, finding diverse friends, and being able to talk about life experiences, just as I am right now.

Most people wouldn’t want to be a military child, the moving throws them off. I partially agree with them, mainly since I’m not very fond of moving either, but after some time, you get used to moving. But many other things come with this life. Especially new experiences other people wouldn’t go through. Living in a new country is fascinating. Figuring out the culture and going to new places every weekend is something everyone would enjoy.

Being a military child is rough for the first few weeks, but over time, it gets really fun, especially when you have new friends and a whole new school.
