Fall & Winter

Fall and winter

Dogs barking, pigs squealing, wheels squeaking

Each phrase at least 3 times

Bird songs

Sweet and gurgling

Fall and winter

Color nearly disappeared

It is gray

Harsh reflections

Learned 200 songs but singing another birds

Fall and winter

Familiar visitor

Common from coast to coast

Who had been marked by a few harsh notes

Fall and Winter

I wrote this poem about the hardships that fall and winter have, even through the joyous times that are supposed to come. I wrote how the bird songs are sweet, yet the color nearly disappeared. This is supposed to show how happy it sounds, and how happy pictures of it look, but once it comes it tends to feel sad. The sun comes out less, there is more rain, and it is cold. In the middle the line says “learned 200 songs but singing another bird’s”. This is meaning how repetitive it can feel, and how every year these seasons tend to feel the same with the same holidays and traditions. At the end I also added how it is “marked by a few harsh notes”. This is supposed to put together in a summary what it looks like, and how not all people feel gloomy during fall and winter but people that do have a hard time and it feels harsh to them.
