Hi, my name is Braylin and I am a military child. I’m from Missouri but I was born in Texas. I have been in Okinawa for about 2 years. I have a 14 year old sister. I have three dogs, 2 in the states, and 1 here. I will be telling you about how being a military child has changed my life and how it made my life better.
My dad has been in the military for about 17 years. Being a military child means that I can’t have friends that stick. I only get to be with them for about 3 years. But making amazing new friends is one of the best parts of being a military child. I have moved to so many different places. Some of the places that me and my family have gone to are, North Carolina, Okinawa, Texas, California, and Missouri.
Moving to different schools and different places can be pretty hard. But if you are kind to your classmates you will make a lot of friends. I know how it is to move, and it’s really sad but you will get used to it. You won't forget about your old friends, but you will make new friends.
In conclusion, I think that being a military is good and bad. That is because you make new friends but then leave them after about 3 years. I hope that you take my advice and make friends by being kind to your classmates.
