2024/Eliza-

Hi, I'm Eliza. I am 11 years old, and I live in Okinawa. I have a family of 6 and I go to Zukeran. My dad is in the Army.

I have lived in Germany, Virginia, Texas, Kansas, and now I live in Okinawa. My favorite places to live were Kansas, and Virginia. I liked Kansas because there were so many trees and my best friend Arleigh lived there.

In Okinawa, I got to go to Osaka and Universal Studios. I got to go on SO MANY RIDES!!! In Texas, I got to have a family reunion. I got to see all my family and my 15 cousins. It was awesome!

A few challenges you will face are leaving your friends and going to a new school. My advice is to get used to leaving your friends because your friends are going to make new friends just like you. Also get used to new spaces because you will move into a new house and new school.

When you are a military child there are so many things to celebrate. Celebrations are as simple as making a new friend, liking your new school, or getting your household goods to your new home.

There are so many amazing things about being a military child. However, there are also downsides. Some people like being a military child, some people don’t. Even if you don’t, you should know that our parents and veterans do a lot to protect us and our country.
