Zukeran Elementary School
My name is Liam, I live in Japan, and I go to Zukeran Elementary. The places I have lived are California, Illinois, and Japan.
It can be hard moving away from your friends, but you can always make more friends. Also, when you move you can find a good hobby to do with your new friends. For example, I love playing Fortnite with the boys.
One challenge I’ve faced was moving away from my best friends and making new friends. My last challenge was trying to speak a different language.
Something to celebrate as a military child is getting to learn about a new culture. We celebrate by trying new food and seeing if we like it. We also go see things we have never seen before and buy the country’s merch.
My advice to any military child is, if you miss your friends you can try to make friends that are like your old friends. Also don’t be sad, you might make more friends, or you might like the culture. My last piece of advice for you is to learn a new language so if you run into a person that knows that language you could become friends with them.
I like being a military child because I get to explore the world with my family. I also hate being a military child because I have to move away from my old friends in the states.
